Athabasca Variable Neutral Density Filters are designed to let you shoot with a wide aperture and shallow depth of field. It is perfect for when your shooting in bright light and helps achieve blurred backgrounds without the risk of overexposing your image. The filter is made up of 2 opposed polarisers that vary the light as it passes through as you rotate them.
The filter allows you to shoot at slower shutter speeds so you can create that silky look when photographing moving water such as rivers and waterfalls. Videographers will find these filters extremely useful as it allows them to use their required shutter speeds without compromising their aperture or exposure.
