THE ATHABASCA STORY

In 2010, on his first visit to Canada’s Rocky Mountain icefields, the founder of a new Chinese enterprise was so impressed by the majestic purity and clarity of the glacier which he witnessed, that he decided to name his new camera filter company “Athabasca”.

Like the natural qualities of the glacier after which they are named, Athabasca filters strive to incorporate strength and clarity for the camera lenses they enhance and shield. Our choice of top quality materials makes this possible: Japanese and German formulated glass, high transmission, anti-reflection and rugged scratch resistant coatings combine to achieve clarity and resilience; aviation aluminum with an environmentally friendly, anodic-oxidized, anti-glare frame provides strength as well as a thin, light weight casing for the glass.
